Overview
SPRIND – Germany’s home for people with radical new ideas – is leading the development of a national concept for the EUDI Wallet under the eIDAS 2.0 regulation. Our mission: to build secure, privacy-first, and trustworthy digital public infrastructure. We’re looking for a hands-on expert in analytics and fraud detection to shape how the EUDI Wallet ecosystem is understood, improved, and protected.
YOURROLE
You will help shape the emerging EUDI Wallet ecosystem by generating actionable insights, enhancing security, and promoting open, privacy-preserving data practices. You'll play a key role in balancing privacy technologies with transparency to the public to detect fraud, build trust, and understand how the distributed ecosystem is used — and where it needs improvement.
Responsibilities- Design and operate analytics systems that monitor usage, generate insights, and identify areas for improvement
- Develop privacy-preserving mechanisms to detect fraud, misuse, and security threats
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for development and operations teams
- Build and support open data interfaces and public dashboards where feasible
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (security, legal, product, architecture) to ensure alignment with privacy-by-design principles
- Create crash analytics and integrate with mobile development teams to improve user experience
- Communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including regulators, civil society, and standardization bodies
- A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science or a related (technical) field or equivalent non-formal education combined with a strong, proven track record in areas relevant to this role.
- At least five years of experience in data analytics, fraud detection, or privacy/security roles
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, privacy risks, and secure data practices
- Skilled in designing scalable analytics frameworks with a strong focus on user privacy
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, impact-driven mindset
