As our Research Data Scientist you will work on the Science Team to gather health data insights, help with study analysis plans and conduct analyses for Clue’s in-house research projects and research collaborations. You will work cross-functionally in collaboration with other teams such as the Data, Product, and Marketing Teams.
We are looking for you if you have a passion for health data and advancing scientific research to improve health and wellness for people with cycles.
What You Will Do- Support the Science Team in evaluating and scoping research projects and research collaborations, support statistical analyses (including tracked health data, app usage data, survey data) and report writing.
- Support PR and marketing campaigns with health data insights to allow engaging storytelling and strengthen Clue’s content.
- Extract, prepare, and transmit datasets for academic research projects, working in close collaboration with other teams such as the Data and Legal Teams to ensure analysis, sharing, and archiving of data follow data sharing policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Product Team in conducting health-related data analyses as the foundation of data driven product features and conduct algorithm performance evaluations (including for post-market surveillance reports).
- Support research collaborators in working with Clue data, including providing advice on feasibility of research projects, analyzing Clue data, and reviewing project methods and manuscripts.
- MS, PhD preferred, with at least 2-3 years of experience working as a statistician/statistical programmer in clinical trials, medical and/or behavioural research, and/or digital/mobile health industry.
- Experience applying statistical models such as generalized linear models including mixed models, survival analysis, logistic regression.
- SQL query skills (including window functions and query optimization).
- Strong working experience with data analysis, visualisation and statistics in Python and/or R and data-related libraries.
- Familiar with data management principles and regulatory requirements for medical research.
- Familiar with data anonymization techniques and GDPR aligned practices.
- Experience with survey design, implementation and analysis is a plus.
- Experience in communicating science and data-based insights to a lay audience and connecting those insights with business goals is a plus.
- Enjoys working in a cross functional team as part of a dynamic and fast moving environment.
