Shift Details

Standard schedule:
Monday through Friday,
No night shifts or weekend shifts required
Call Requirements:
On-call from 1530 to 1800, Monday through Friday only Call typically assigned 1-2 times per week
• No call cases are run past 1800, though staff may occasionally be required to stay beyond if a surgery is still in progress (rare)
Weekend & Holiday Coverage:
No weekend coverage required
Closed on holidays
Unit Volume: 15-30 surgical cases per day, Higher volumes typically occur on cataract surgery days
Unit Structure & Specialties: 6 operating rooms (ORs), with up to 4 ORs running daily
Case variety includes: o General Surgery o Endoscopy (GI) o Plastics o Robotic DaVinci o Gynecology (GYN) o Urology o Orthopedic Total Joints/Sports o ENT o Cataracts
Primarily elective procedures on a generally healthy patient population
RN Role Expectations:
Preference for RNs who can both scrub and circulate, though not required
Orientation & Training:
All travelers are assigned a preceptor for their first week on site to assess skills and provide workflow support
Following week:
Skills are reassessed to determine if the traveler can work independently or needs continued support
