United Trades of America is a leading labor contractor focused on providing skilled trades within the construction industry. We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Decatur, Alabama. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of heavy-duty vehicles.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operation and safety.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems.
• Test vehicle systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in diesel mechanics preferred.
• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• ASE certification in diesel mechanics.
• Experience with various types of heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, buses, and construction equipment.
• Knowledge of computerized diagnostic tools and software.
