Experienced Pipe Layers - Commercial Projects
Locations: Oneonta, AL & Good Hope, AL
Pay: $20 - $25 per hour (Based on Experience)
Local Applicants Only - No Per Diem
United Trades of America is hiring Experienced Pipe Layers for commercial construction projects in Oneonta, AL, and Good Hope, AL. We are looking for skilled professionals who have a strong understanding of pipe laying techniques and can work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
Job Responsibilities:🔹 Install, align, and connect various types of pipes, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
🔹 Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications to determine pipe layouts
🔹 Perform trenching, grading, and back filling to ensure proper installation
🔹 Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
🔹 Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
🔹 Work closely with crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
🔹 Inspect and test pipe systems to identify and repair leaks or defects
✔ Minimum 2+ years of experience as a pipe layer in commercial construction
✔ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
✔ Experience working with PVC, ductile iron, concrete, and other piping materials
✔ Proficiency in operating trenching and compaction equipment
✔ Strong knowledge of proper pipe grading, bedding, and alignment techniques
✔ Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions
✔ Reliable transportation to and from job sites
✔ Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
✔ Must be a local candidate - No per diem is offered for this position
