We are seeking a full-time Technologist Assistant to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8am-4pm in Onalaska, WI. This position will be responsible for assisting the technologist in patient care. Routes are subject to change based on business needs. We pay the hourly rate door-to-door, reimburse mileage at .70 per mile for all but 60 miles/trip, cell phone stipend, clothing allowance and more.

Responsibilities

Transports patients between the facility and scanner and completing documentation.

Provides operational and administrative support to the technologist.

Prepares, cleans and sanitizes exam areas, changes table linens, patient verification, and helps with patient transfers from and to beds, wheelchairs, and carts.

Manages patient exam records, ensures patient comfort, engages in ethical conduct, and ensures work adheres to regulatory requirements.

Complies with safety and quality procedures and initiatives by following safety policies, reporting hazards, and participating in safety processes as required.

This position may be required to travel up to 100% of the time.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school graduate or GED.
Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred; customer service experience desired.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational, accuracy and detail orientation skills.
PC proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Testing

CPR certified (DMS will assist with this process if not already certified).

To ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, the following vaccinations, titers, or declinations and health requirements are required: MMR;
Varicella;
Hepatitis B Series;
Tdap; annual Influenza vaccine; COVID-19 vaccination if required by facility policy;
Tuberculosis screening (annual or per facility guidelines).

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel and crawl.
Climb up and down stairs.
Push and pull wheelchairs.
Carry and lift with the ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or exam.
Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
