Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the production of schematic design, design development, and construction document sets for assigned housing projects.
- Oversee and guide drafting teams, ensuring high-quality documentation with minimal supervision.
- Own and manage Revit workflows while contributing to the standardization and optimization of documentation practices.
- Integrate effectively with cross-functional design and construction teams to ensure alignment across project phases.
- Conduct and oversee code studies, detailing, material selections, and documentation aligned with construction procedures.
- Support value engineering initiatives and cost estimation workflows to enhance project efficiency and budget alignment.
- Participate in proposal generation and contribute to internal quality control processes.
- Spearhead continuous improvement efforts to elevate design quality and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders across all project phases.
- Support vendor bidding processes and provide construction phase services, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
- Balance detailed, production-driven responsibilities with the demands of an entrepreneurial, technology-forward design-build environment.
- Minimum of eight years of experience in architectural design and documentation.
- Associate degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent design education.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Revit and experience producing construction documents.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, E-Specs, Twinmotion, Lumion, BIM/VDC processes, and AI-assisted rendering tools.
- Proven ability to lead drafting teams and manage production with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with code analysis, detailing, materials, and construction procedures.
- Understanding of value engineering principles and cost estimation workflows.
- Experience with senior living, multi-family, or healthcare facilities preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to navigate high-performance, fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated forward-thinking mindset, analytical rigor, proactive problem-solving capabilities, and the confidence to engage in direct, solution-oriented conversations.
