In-House Accountant; Payroll, AP​/AR & Costing – Controller Track

We are seeking an In-House Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, payroll, and job costing while maintaining clean, accurate financial records in Quick Books Desktop. This role is critical to providing leadership with reliable, decision-ready financial data.

You will also serve as the internal point person for our outside CPA firm by preparing clean schedules and organized documentation for smooth month-end and year-end processes.

This role is ideal for:

• A recent accounting graduate seeking hands‑on ownership and real‑world experience, or
• An experienced accountant who enjoys being hands‑on and wants to grow into a controller‑style role over time.

• Process Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Job Costing with high accuracy
• Allocate labor, materials, and expenses to jobs for reliable job cost reporting
• Process biweekly payroll and manage payroll tax reporting
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
• Produce weekly/monthly financial and job cost reports for leadership
• Coordinate with an outside CPA firm for month‑end and year‑end support
• Support benefits onboarding/offboarding and benefits documentation
• Assist with light office and administrative support as needed

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field) or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Comfort with Quick Books Desktop and spreadsheets
• Ability to organize documentation and meet deadlines

Preferred:

• Construction accounting or job costing experience
• Payroll processing and payroll tax knowledge
• Experience supporting an outside CPA firm
