Overview
Assistant Millwork Warehouse Supervisor (Administrative)
Responsibilities- Provide escalation support for operational issues, customer concerns, inventory discrepancies, and workflow bottlenecks.
- Coordinate daily activities across:
- Loading dock operations (in partnership with dock lead)
- Trim packaging and order selection
- Millwork/cabinet receiving
- Window receiving
- Inventory control and cycle count processes
- Assist in balancing labor resources to meet inbound and outbound demands.
- Monitor workflow efficiency and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors.
- Support oversight of all receiving and ensure proper product verification, documentation, labeling, and storage.
- Partner with the Inventory Specialist to review cycle count results and address discrepancies.
- Assist in resolving inventory variances and root-cause analysis.
- Support proper handling and storage practices to minimize product damage.
- Oversee load preparation and staging for outbound deliveries in partnership with the loading dock lead.
- Support credit processing documentation accuracy for returned or damaged materials.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in receiving, storage, picking, and staging.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams when issues arise.
- Support coaching, training, and performance development. Assist with scheduling, attendance monitoring, and workload delegation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
- 3-5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in building materials or millwork distribution.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Experience working with high-value, damage-sensitive products (windows, doors, cabinets preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of building materials industry practices.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Maintenance of regular attendance
- Forklift certification
- Experience with WMS or inventory management systems

Physical Requirements
Work is in a warehouse setting and may be performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, and mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust. Employee must have clear, close vision for reading and computer work. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, balance, stoop, grasp, talk, hear, and operate computer keyboard. Will occasionally lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds.
