Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator supports office operations by handling calls from drivers, customers, and carriers, arranging freight pickups and deliveries, negotiating rates, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The role oversees shipments from start to finish.

• Answer phone calls from drivers, customers, and carriers.
• Accept and analyze loads to maximize profit.
• Maintain high on‑time service and profit margin rates.
• Determine freight rates to pay and enter broker notes for the dispatcher.
• Address issues reported by the dispatcher (e.g., late trucks, breakdowns).
• Communicate proactively with call centers, customers, shippers, and receivers via phone and e‑mail.
• Ensure customer‑specific requirements are met within outlined time frames.
• Cover a co‑worker's desk when absent.
• Post and work customer shipments.
• Update customer portals.
• Be responsible for growth of managed accounts.
• Follow guidance and direction from Account Managers and Team Leads.

• High school diploma required; some college experience preferred, but not required.
• Previous transportation experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills (phone and e‑mail).
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Pay: $48k – $58k annually
