OTR CDL Class A Team Truck Driver

Overview

DSL Express and partners are hiring Class A CDL Solo Truck Drivers for OTR. Company drivers with 2+ years of experience and a decent MVR/PSP score. Position available ASAP.

Pay is performance based with percentage pay at 30% and option to switch to miles pay. Every solo driver here is making well over $100k per year, with some earning towards $140k working year around.

• We pay up to 30% line haul plus bonuses. In this post‑COVID market, drivers drive less and make more.
• Average pay in the dead season is between $1,900 to $2,100, with rare best weeks of about $2,400+ and a slow week of $1,500.
• Average pay in peak season is between $2,100 to $2,400, with rare best weeks of about $2,700+ and a rare slow week of $1,900.
• Average miles on percentage pay is reduced on purpose. We save fuel but our contracts make more by the mile. Usually 2,000 to 2,500 miles in slow season and up to 3,000 in busy seasons.

• Option to switch any time to up to 60¢ per mile plus bonuses depending on experience and MVR (up to $0.65 for manual drivers).
• Average miles per week are between 2,500 and 3,600, varying by driver.
• Average gross income is roughly $1,600 to $2,400 per week per driver; a bit less for automatic‑only drivers.

• Team operators are encouraged; each needs a partner.
• Up to $0.75 per mile plus bonuses, depending on experience and MVR.
• Average miles per week are between 5,500 and 7,000.
• Average gross income per week between $4,100 and $5,200 total split (approximately $2,000 to $2,600 per team driver).
• This market currently focuses on solos; teams are not actively expanded.

• Weekly pay with direct deposit.
• Hazard occupational insurance covering lost wages, medical, and death beneficiary payouts.
• Monthly bonuses based on safety, delivery, and communication.
• Bonuses for passing DOT inspections.
• Average gross income for solo drivers $1,900 to $2,400 per week; team drivers $2,000 to $2,600 per week.

• Healthy, able, and willing to work.
• Minimum 2 years driving experience.
• Valid CDL Class A with no pending suspensions.
• Ability to use modern ELD systems.
• Must pass a drug test; no acceptations.
• Valid medical card issued.
• Stable work history and good references.
• No more than 3 moving violations/accidents in last 3 years; no failed/defended drug or alcohol test in last 4 years; no DUI/DWI/BAC in last 4 years; no reckless convictions last 3 years; no license suspension last 3 years; no more than 2 moving violations last year.
• Provide 3 years of work history; references will be verified.
