Hiring Rate: $21.470 per hour for employees who possess a CDL.

Job Description: We are now hiring winter temporary maintenance workers! Whether you’re looking for extra income during the winter months or interested in testing a new position before making a long‑term commitment, we encourage you to apply. This role allows you to assess our work environment and daily responsibilities before potentially joining us long‑term. You will help ensure the safety of the traveling public in a friendly and supportive work environment.

Pay: $19.941 per hour to start. Employees with a valid CDL will begin at $21.470 per hour. Hours may vary with weather conditions and could be more or less than 40 per week. Positions are temporary and will continue until March 31, 2026.

Job Duties:

• Perform snow removal.
• Operate heavy equipment for road maintenance.
• Trim trees.
• Respond to highway emergencies.
• Safely move, drag, lift, load, and unload equipment, materials, supplies, and hazardous items from the roadway within weight limits.
• Spread and tamp surfacing materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements /

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to safely handle 35–60 pound loads frequently and occasionally up to 90 pounds with assistance. Must work outdoors in temperature extremes and around high‑speed traffic.
• Must be reliable and available for duty outside scheduled hours for emergencies within 45 minutes.
• May need to travel overnight or out of town.
• Preferred Qualifications: Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License; experience operating heavy equipment.
