Job Summary:

We are seeking a safety-conscious Yard Help/Operations Assistant to join our team at our Omaha, Nebraska location! This position works with a team to inspect all equipment that arrives at TSL’s terminal and utilizes heavy equipment to move chassis and containers within TSL property. This position is also responsible for assisting with administrative duties in the terminal office. This is a 1st shift position, typically working Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.

Yard Help Duties:

• Performs inspections on trailers, chassis, and containers entering the yard gate using a hand-held device
• Notes the conditions of equipment after inspection and enters all data into tablet
• Serves as one of the first points of contact as drivers enter the yard
• Directs drivers to appropriate area of the yard
• Safely operates equipment, such as container lifts and shag trucks
• Moves containers and chassis to proper areas of TSL property for storage and/or maintenance
• Completes data entry on the computer
• Carries out various administrative duties in the terminal office
