As an experienced Superintendent, you will be responsible for large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects. You will oversee day‑to‑day field operations, develop project plans, and monitor performance. You will also anticipate client needs and provide solutions, share expertise and mentor colleagues.

Essential Responsibilities- Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
- Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations
- Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules
- Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects
- Maintain working knowledge of reporting and tracking financial aspects of the project
- Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations
- Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff
- Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or a similar role
- Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment
- Post‑secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub‑contractors
- Problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
- This is a site‑based position that will require travel as needed to various Ledcor offices and project sites
