Lighting Controls Field Technician / Startup Technician

C&O Sales is seeking a Lighting Controls Field Technician to configure, commission, and support advanced commercial lighting control systems. This role requires a working knowledge of electrical systems, networking fundamentals, and control technologies, with a focus on Leviton and Crestron commercial platforms.

• Program and commission Leviton, Crestron, and DMX-based lighting control systems
• Read and interpret control schematics, riser diagrams, and system layouts
• Perform field troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other trades
• Configure and test sensors, dimmers, relays, and networked devices
• Develop as-built drawings and commissioning reports
• Support system upgrades, firmware updates, and customer training
• Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer software and product releases
• Represent C&O professionally on job sites
• Assist in system design for quotes and submittals as needed

Required:

• Customer-first mindset
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with configuration and commissioning software
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within C&O territory
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Bluebeam

Preferred:

• Understanding of lighting controls, BAS, or low-voltage systems
• Ability to read electrical and control wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of DALI or DMX protocols
• OSHA certification
