Diesel Technician

Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision.

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Omaha, NE).

Will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Level 2 Technician or above

-This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.

-A current valid license is required for this role

-Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience

-This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

-A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire

Education, Licenses,

Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred), Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution, Locally valid driving permit (Preferred), This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience: Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
