The Apprentice Facilities Technician will assist with the completion of basic and moderate levels of preventive maintenance, work orders, and minor renovations and to include the following trades: HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, temperature controls, lighting and electrical.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Successfully complete required training courses
• Ability to assist with the diagnostic testing and analysis of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and temperature controls.
• Successfully complete safety training courses and adhere to safety procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate with campus customers and technicians
• Ability to learn how to effectively problem solve and troubleshoot issues and problems

Relevant coursework/specialized training or equivalent

Formal training in a vocational or trade school specifically related to maintenance operations preferred. Completion of maintenance training in plumbing, electrical systems or refrigeration preferred.

Experience in any of the following trades: HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Electrical, or Temperature Controls.
