A Day in the Life of our Interns
Land Surveyors take measurements to determine property boundaries, create topographic drawings and stake the location of new structures to be built. As a Field Technician Apprentice, you’ll begin and end each day at our office in Omaha. You’ll receive your project and crew assignment each morning before heading out with experienced surveyors to complete the day’s work. Our surveyors work on many different types of surveys using a wide variety of equipment including Total Stations, Drones, 3D Scanners and more.
As an Intern, you’ll gain experience by working hands-on with the crew every day.
You’ll be Successful Here When you Are willing to learn on the job every day and act as a good team member. We’ll help you build the skills necessary to complete your work assignments accurately.
What you can expect from us Work closely with talented professionals who will provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship during your time with Lamp Rynearson. Even when you’re working independently, you’ll never be on your own. You’ll build skills in completing various types of surveys by working with an experienced team. The data you collect in the field will help our team take community changing projects to the finish line.

- Work with survey equipment including Total Stations, Drones, 3D Scanners and more.
- Gain hands-on field experience by working with the crew on various surveys.
- Interest in field surveying or related disciplines; willingness to learn on the job.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from experienced staff.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
