Fire Technician

About The Role

The Fire Technician will play a critical role in providing technical service and installation of commercial alarm, fire, CCTV, and Card Access systems. This position is part of the Technical Services division, working primarily within the Omaha and Lincoln regions, with potential work extending to Kearney and Sioux City. As a key contributor, you will ensure the delivery of reliable and high‑quality customer support while executing installations and repairs.

• Install, troubleshoot, replace, and repair malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
• Ability to proctor, coach, and teach others.
• Provide reliable, high‑quality customer support.
• Perform customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
• Conduct system testing and signal verification.
• Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
• Monitor and ensure the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Complete and submit all required task‑related activities, productivity, and documentation timely.

• Minimum of 6‑10 years of experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of commercial fire alarm system installation is required.
• Intrusion systems, CCTV, intercom, access control experience is a plus.
• Nebraska Fire Installation License is required.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or Vocational Training.
• Full knowledge of local/national codes.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to clear a drug and background screening.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures, etc. in English.
• Lift certification and OSHA 10.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Pay: $30 per hour
