Mechanic; Heavy Equipment & Trucks

We are currently looking for a heavy equipment and truck mechanic that has past experience, good communication skills, and excellent problem solving capabilities. Must be able to diagnose, remove, install, repair, disassemble, assemble, and perform failure analysis of all equipment including engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. Concrete paver equipment setup, maintenance and welding experience desired. Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction projects.

• Diagnose problems
• Repair problems
• Locate parts
• Document repairs
• Setup & adjust concrete pavers
• Able to receive hand signal instructions from others
• Use of hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance
• Properly follow OSHA safety procedures
• Responsible for other duties assigned for the job

• 2+ years experience in field or related field
• Understanding of stringline and or GPS technology
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to give and understand hand signals
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Applicants who are offered employment will be required to submit to a Drug/Alcohol test and a functional capacity evaluation. This evaluation, which applies to all incoming construction labor employees, is done to determine whether the employee is suited to and capable of performing the essential functions of the position offered.
