The Walling Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of industrial pumps and rotating equipment. We’re looking for someone with strong technical expertise, problem‑solving ability, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps and related rotating equipment.
- Disassemble, clean, and rebuild units; replace or adjust defective parts as needed.
- Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
- Perform technical services including start-ups, installations, and field repairs.
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding repair status and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
- Stay current with new products, repair methods, and technical updates.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a related mechanical/electrical repair role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
- Certification or training in a related trade or technical discipline.
- Experience with inventory management systems or repair ticketing software.
- Familiarity with Profit 21 ERP system.
- Valid driver’s license (for field service work).
- Work performed in a shop, warehouse, or field environment depending on assignment.
- May involve exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided as required.
