Door, Window and Millwork Sales Representative (Administrative)
PositionEssential Duties and Responsibilities
Confer with customers by telephone, electronically, and in person to provide information about our products or services to meet or exceed customer expectations. Actively participate in developing new accounts, generate sales quotes, and handle customer inquiries to help service customers and grow sales. Solicit sales of new or additional services and/or products while informing and recommending Millard Lumber products and services.
Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions. Contact suppliers for availability and costs on special and non‑stock products. Determine charges for services or product. Collect deposits or payments, or arrange billing. Process returns, exchanges, quotes, credits, contracts, purchase/work orders, stock receipts, and transfers. Assist with special projects and participate in training sessions to expand current and new product knowledge. Work effectively with others in a team‑based environment to accomplish organizational goals and identify and resolve problems.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required. Experience in customer service and inside sales preferred. Experience operating both ERP (Bis Track) system and Microsoft Office.
Other RequirementsPossess a strong willingness to learn Millard Lumber products/services, retail sales experience preferred. Must pass pre‑employment screens. Maintenance of regular attendance, work evenings, and required Saturdays.

Ability to develop new business and exceed sales goals. Ability to make sound and confident recommendations to customers. Superior problem‑solving abilities along with a can‑do attitude. Verbal & Written Communication skills. Willingness to obtain other training if deemed necessary in performance of responsibilities and continuing education.
Working Conditions andPhysical Requirements
Work is in a retail environment both indoor and outdoor, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels, and dust. Employee must have clear, close vision for reading and computer/scan work. Must be able to safely squat, bend, and climb. Will occasionally lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs., grasp, talk, hear, and stand/walk for prolonged periods. Job may require reaching at or above shoulder level and below waist.
