This Technical Sales role covers Omaha, NE and surrounding territory.

Opportunity

The Opportunity We're looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative with a strong background in technical and industrial sales to grow and expand our presence in Omaha, NE. This is not a commodity sales role, but a consultative sales role. We need someone who thrives on solving problems, building strong business relationships, and driving results.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and grow a defined territory by building relationships with decision-makers ranging from maintenance personnel to CEOs.
  • Identify opportunities and present automation solutions that bring measurable value to customers.
  • Drive sales growth through technical expertise, problem‑solving, and persistence.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and learn new technologies to effectively position Hartfiel Automation’s solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with our engineering and support teams to deliver tailored solutions to customer challenges.
  • Confidently handle objections and negotiations while keeping long‑term customer partnerships in mind.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 2+ years of proven industrial/technical sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success in growing sales territories and exceeding targets.
  • Strong technical curiosity and a passion for learning new technologies.
  • Ability to think outside the box to solve customer challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical staff and executive‑level decision makers.
  • Resilient, confident, and not afraid of constructive confrontation when needed to move opportunities forward.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work independently while being a strong team contributor.
