Overview
Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club. Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr this range is provided by Sam's Club. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
The role involves working on the meat team to ensure quality, packaging, and display of meat items for members. You will be on the front lines of customer service, with attention to detail and a steady hand to sell a quality product. You will be part of a team that helps customers enjoy a great shopping experience.
Responsibilities- Be a Team Member:
Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with the team; and works in other areas as needed to support the business. - Be an Expert:
Demonstrates knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares and handles meat products according to established standards; cuts boneless meat products; and maintains product quality standards. - Be a Techie:
Uses digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; uses handheld technology to support decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them. - Be an Owner:
Maintains operational excellence and a clean work area; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies. - Be a Talent Ambassador:
Advocates for the department and the club by delivering high-quality service and products; models energy, commitment, and passion for the work. - Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; applies related action plans and opens the Open Door Policy in daily practices.
- Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; sets priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; identifies opportunities for improvement; adapts to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or work performed).
