Position SummaryPerforms advanced research focused on lower extremity orthopaedic biomechanics, including image-based biomedical modeling, clinical gait analysis, and development of surgical navigation tools and analytics. Collaborates with Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, and Physical Therapy partners to design studies, manage data workflows, and ensure regulatory compliance. Provides technical mentorship and maintains high standards for research quality, safety, and reproducibility.

Strong quantitative and computational skills; ability to design and execute complex research protocols; excellent oral and written communication; ability to collaborate across clinical and engineering teams; attention to regulatory and data security requirements. - Preferred Education: Doctoral degree or equivalent (Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics, Computer Science, or related field)
- Preferred Experience: Experience with machine learning in medical imaging/biomechanics; grant writing support; clinical gait analysis in clinical/research setting; gross anatomy training/cadaver experience.
- Preferred Other Computer Applications: Version control (e.g., Git); data management tools; basic image processing/segmentation tools as used in the lab, R studio; 3D visualization/modeling software as applicable

Demonstrated mentoring ability; project management skills; experience translating research tools into clinical workflows.
