Location: Omaha, NE

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; intermittent weekends.

Remote/Telecommuting: Hybrid (part-time on-site, part-time off-site).

Responsible for the overall coordination of daily operations of the laboratory under the direction of the Principal Investigator. Duties include designing, execution and control of research studies and conducting small animal experiments. Directs junior laboratory personnel, maintains compliance with various regulatory agencies, purchases supplies and reviews expenditures.

• Education: NA
• Experience: 3 years experience in a research laboratory including bioengineering, animal models, histology/immunology, gene expression analysis by real-time PCR.
• License: No requirement.
• Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  
  
  • Meticulous and highly organized, handle valuable samples and manage overlapping research projects.
  • Accurate record keeping and consistent adherence to procedures.
  • Reliable.

• Prior experience working with animals in lab and laboratory supervision.
• Laboratory supervisory experience; experimental design; data analysis; manuscript and grant writing.
• Preferred Computer Applications:
  Microsoft Access, PowerPoint.
