Position Description: The Lawn Care Crew Leader must be familiar with all aspects of lawn and landscape maintenance, including cleanups, mowing, mulching, trimming, edging, bed maintenance, fertilization, etc. Responsibilities include operating equipment, interfacing with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers, supervising a crew of 2-4 employees, and completing paperwork and administrative tasks while maintaining professionalism.

Reports to: Manager / Supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least four years of experience in lawn and landscape maintenance and supervision
• Valid driver’s license and insurability
• Legal work authorization
• Physical ability to handle workload and lift up to 75 pounds
• Professional interaction with customers

Responsibilities:

• Understand all aspects of lawn and landscape maintenance
• Operate trucks and equipment safely
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Order materials
• Lead and manage crew effectively
• Meet productivity standards and keep jobs on schedule and within budget
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents
• Manage change orders and interface with suppliers and subcontractors
• Ensure company standards are met and maintain a clean truck
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately
• Interact professionally with clients and train crew members
• Analyze job cost reports and comply with company policies
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Participate in continuing education
