Job Details:

• Work in PACU - Pre Op RN department with 25 beds

• Mix of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available

• Manager creates schedule 6 weeks at a time

• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3

• Call required Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays (approximately every 5-6 weekends)

• Must have experience in both preop/PACU and Phase II

• Float between preop, PACU, and phase II areas

• Handle Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery patients

• Prepare patients for cath lab, IR, TEE, and radiology procedures

• Common cases include orthopedic, bariatric (laparoscopic and robotic), general surgery, urology, hand and foot procedures, spine cases, GYN procedures, and sports medicine

• Complete 1 week classroom orientation followed by 1 week department-specific training

• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score required

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

• Driver's license required at submittal

• Must be located outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with Common Spirit facilities

• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination

• Use EPIC charting system

• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
