We are seeking an

experienced CVICU Registered Nurse

to join a

high-acuity cardiovascular ICU team in Omaha, Nebraska . This unit cares for

complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients

requiring advanced life-support therapies.

3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)

Weekly Pay:

$2,600 – $2,800

Unit Overview

Beds:

18-bed CVICU

Ratios:

1:1

Patient Population:

Open heart, complex thoracic and vascular surgery patients

Clinical Experience Required

Management of patients supported by

Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO

Care for patients undergoing

advanced cardiac and vascular procedures

including carotids, TCARs, Fem-Pop, EVARs, and Endo AAA repairs

Experience with

post-cardiac surgery recovery and high-acuity ICU care

Clinical Responsibilities

Titrate critical drips including

vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, paralytics, sedation, and narcotics

Monitor and interpret

cardiac telemetry independently

Manage

ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems

Provide care for patients admitted from

Cath Lab, EP Lab, ER, and clinic

Requirements

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Experience:

Minimum

1 year CVICU experience with similar patient population

Additional Details

Weekend Requirement:

Every other weekend

Holiday Requirement:

Every other or as needed

Floating:

May float to other inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU)

Scrubs:

Navy Blue

Orientation:

2 unit-specific shifts
