BLS, ACLS Patient Types:
Open heart, complex thoracic & vascular cases. Patients may require Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO. Includes cardiac surgeries, carotids, TCAR, Fempop, EVAR/Endo AAA, and complex cases from Cath Lab, EP Lab, ER, and clinic.
Skills Required:
Minimum 1 year CVICU experience Titrate drips (vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmics) Read and interpret tele strips Unit Info:
Charge nurse each shift (takes assignment) No CNAs Hospitalist & Intensivist 24/7 RNs manage/monitor vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow

Navy Blue Exam during orientation:
Open-book, must score 90% to pass Important Rules: 50-mile radius rule (Driver’s license required at submission) Cannot be FT/PT/PRN with Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity Artificial nails not allowed RTO:
Max 7 days per 13-week contract (must be submitted upfront).
