Pediatric Dialysis Nurse Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent hemodialysis RN experience (Hemodialysis Nurse / Dialysis RN)
  • Pediatric dialysis experience strongly preferred (Pediatric Dialysis RN / Pediatric Hemodialysis)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to start
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or PEARS certification required prior to start
  • Experience with pediatric patient ratios (2:1) preferred
  • Previous charge experience a plus
  • Charting/EHR system experience preferred
Pediatric Dialysis RN Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, effective hemodialysis treatment and monitoring for pediatric patients (neonates through adolescents)
  • Assess and document patient status before, during, and after dialysis treatments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services for coordinated pediatric care
  • Educate patients and families on dialysis care, vascular access, infection prevention, and home care considerations
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with unit policies and infection control protocols
  • Participate in self-scheduling and fulfill weekend/holiday coverage as required by the travel contract
  • Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in the dialysis unit
