Job Summary
NEONATAL NNP opportunity for a provider who is excited to provide comprehensive care to high-risk infants and their families. Experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting
- Take medical histories, perform complete physical examinations, and initiate appropriate lab, radiology, and other tests required for evaluation
- Perform routine and specialized procedures as credentialed
- Prescribe and monitor medications as appropriate
- Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with physicians, nursing and other medical personnel
- Educate patient families and answer questions regarding disease, treatments, drug side effects and hazards
- Refer patients to specialists as appropriate
- Be a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary care team with advanced communication skills
- Full Time (.9 FTE)
- Shifts are 12 and 24 hours
- Level II & III Neonatal Intensive Care Units
- Experienced and collegial group of neonatologists, nurse practitioners, nurses and support staff
- Assess, diagnose, and manage the care of critically ill neonates in the NICU
- First year on campus of Creighton University Bergan Mercy Medical Center (level III NICU); may also provide care at CHI Lakeside Hospital (level III NICU) and CHI Immanuel Hospital (level II NICU)

- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
- Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required
- NE License required
- BLS, PALS and NRP required
