• Active, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state where the clinician will practice
• Compact licenses transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
• Current CPR certification (with hands‑on component) – Aveanna can assist in obtaining this after hire if necessary
• TB skin test current within last 12 months
• Six months of hands‑on nursing experience preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides and documents skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physicians' orders, while adhering to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times.

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
• Continuously observe and assess patient condition, reporting changes to supervisor or physician as appropriate.
• Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
• Participate in, implement, and update the nursing care plan.
• Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes.
• Recognize changes in patient needs and intervene to prevent or reduce risk.
• Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Apply infection control measures that protect both staff and patient according to OSHA standards.
• Educate patient and family regarding disease process, self‑care techniques, and prevention strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of nursing competencies through continuing education and internal training.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care policies and procedures.

• South Carolina – One year of pediatric experience.
• California – One year of experience working under a current nursing license.
• Louisiana – One year of experience working as a licensed nurse.
• Continuing education as required by state.

• Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting.
• Home health experience.
