Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse (RN/LPN) - (Part-Time)(Float)
Ortho Nebraska creates the inspired healthcare experience for all people, providing personalized care and life-enhancing outcomes. Our clinic nurses work collaboratively with clinical and non‑clinical teams to deliver safe, effective care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Position Summary: The clinic RN/LPN is responsible for delivering high‑quality patient care throughout examination, treatment, and education while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs, medical history, and patient education in EMR.
- Prepare patients for examinations, injections, and procedures, and assist providers during those activities.
- Prepare specimens for external lab testing and ensure proper orders, injections, and treatments are documented.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and coordinate scheduling of appointments, surgeries, and outpatient tests.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries and consult with providers regarding care needs.
- Oversee clinic flow, prepare equipment, manage supplies, and ensure compliance with infection‑control and safety protocols.
- Assist with orientation and training of new team members and monitor inventory of medical supplies.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned, demonstrating competency in all required tasks.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
- Licensure: RN or LPN license in Nebraska (or Iowa) required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Experience: 1+ year RN/LPN experience preferred; prior healthcare setting experience preferred.
- Knowledge/
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team; strong critical thinking and problem‑solving; prioritization and time management; willingness to travel between clinic locations on short notice. - Physical Requirements: Medium work – required to lift 20‑50 lbs occasionally, 10‑25 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly; this exceeds light work.
- Background and Testing: Must pass background check, pre‑employment physical, drug screening, and maintain active licensure.

Part‑time (0.5 FTE / 20 hrs) float - Shift: Days – varied Mon‑Fri
- Schedule:
20 hours per week - Locations:
Elkhorn, Oakview, Aksarben, Council Bluffs
