Weekend Incentive: $15/hr
Hiring Bonus: $10,000

Schedule
7p-7a, Weekend program:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday including Holiday rotation - 36hrs
A Brief Overview
Coordinates professional nursing and individualized, family centered care to NICU/PICU/Med-Surg pediatric patients/families, through the use of the nursing process and clinical skills in accordance with standards and hospital policies and procedures. Varied schedules to include weekend and holiday patterns.
Essential Functions
- Conducts individualized age-specific patient/family assessments according to defined unit scope and nursing practice standards, appropriate collaborative problems (CPG’s)/nursing diagnoses (ND’s), or protocols. Includes admission assessment data collection and documentation; assesses patient/family education needs and involvement in care;
- Identifies nursing diagnoses, collaborative problems, and/or protocols for each patient at admission; performs shift reassessments and communicates changes to MD, CNC, family as indicated;
- Develops individualized patient/family plan of care using CPG/ND’s and practice guidelines to meet identified needs; collaborates with family and healthcare team to set goals and actions; revises plan of care as conditions change;
- Implements and evaluates nursing actions; coordinates the plan of care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure clinical outcomes; uses critical thinking to interpret orders, tests, labs, medications, and treatments;
- Documents accurate assessment/evaluation, patient response, and changes in condition; ensures documentation meets policy and established time frames; completes and verifies order entries and discharge instructions;
- Maintains professional conduct, supports assigned unit, mentors student nurse observation, and provides clinical support as needed;
- Performs other assigned tasks professionally and, if designated, contributes as a compensated preceptor (Addendum
B).
Education Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required or
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
Experience Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required
- Experience with pediatric patients preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a float pool preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to perform a variety of duties under pressure, prioritize effectively, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Licenses and Certifications
- RN – Registered Nurse – State Licensure and/or Compact Licensure required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association required
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 180 days required
- NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred
- Current and valid certification in nursing specialty preferred
