Are you a highly skilled CRNA seeking a rewarding locum opportunity in a premier academic medical center? Creighton University Medical Center is actively recruiting dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to provide exceptional anesthesia care in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. This ongoing assignment offers the flexibility, support, and professional fulfillment you desire, all while contributing to patient outcomes at a renowned Level 1 Trauma/Academic Center.
What You Will Do:
As a Locum CRNA, you will participate in a variety of cases, including general, trauma, neuro, urology, gyn, gyn-onc, ortho, bariatric, and more. You will work within a collaborative team model alongside anesthesiologists and fellow clinicians, supporting a range of patient needs in a state-of-the-art facility with 9 ORs, endoscopy suites, EP labs, MRI lines, and specialized services. Your role will encompass flexible scheduling, with shifts primarily from 7 am to 3:30 pm or 7 am to 5:30 pm, with opportunities for on/off scheduling based on departmental needs.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing anesthesia care across diverse specialties under supervision.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, collegial environment.
- Maintaining high standards of safety and patient care.
- Adapting to varied case types, including neuro, trauma, and more.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current and valid CRNA certification.
- Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting with diverse anesthesia cases.
- Flexibility with schedules and availability to work during the specified months.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, preferably EPIC.
Nice to Have
Skills:
- Experience in academic or Level 1 Trauma Centers.
- Additional certifications such as TEE or Neuro IR proficiency.
- Strong communication and adaptability skills.
Preferred
Education and Experience:
- Master s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Anesthesia.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent anesthesia experience, ideally in a busy hospital setting.
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing in Nebraska (credentialing period estimated at 60-90 days).
- Ability to meet credentialing deadlines at Creighton University Medical Center and Nebraska Spine Hospital.
- Travel and lodging arrangements preferred; local candidates highly desired.
- Willingness to work during initial months of November and December, with flexible dates.
Compensation and
Schedule:
- Hourly Rate: $300 per hour (inclusive of malpractice insurance, emergency procedures, etc.)
- Orientation: $150 per half-day (after 8 hours, per hour/training applies)
- Holiday Pay: $450 per hour (1.5x depending on schedule)
- Shift hours:
Days, with no overnight shifts required.
