Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 4 Neonatal ICU position requiring a NE or compact RN license and the ability to float to similar units.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level 4 surgical NICU caring for neonates from 23 weeks gestation to one year of age
- Patient population includes a wide range of complex medical and surgical conditions such as PPHN, NEC, BPD, tracheostomy/G-button evaluations, pre-op cardiac anomalies, gastroschisis, and hydrocephalus
- Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, 19:00-07:30
- Additional extra shift required every 3 weeks during high census
- Floating is required, including assignments to PICU, CCU, or med surg floors to care for patients with compatible skill sets
- Work as part of a highly skilled team in a surgical NICU environment
- Provide specialized care including pre and post-operative management for infants with critical conditions
- Must be able to adapt to high-acuity cases and rapidly changing patient needs
- Active NE or compact RN license required
- Prior experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Level 4 NICU required
- Ability to care for complex surgical and medical neonatal patients
- Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed
