ABOUT THIS POSITION

The primary focus of the Volunteer Specialist is to assist in the cultivation of assigned portfolios of volunteer types with the goal of developing, engaging and deepening relationships to help accomplish two objectives: (1) increase program impact through volunteers and (2) create a meaningful volunteer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A full job description will be provided for review during the interview process.

  • Manage and meet annual goals for assigned Volunteer portfolios:
    Chapel & Faith Ministries; and other Specialized Volunteers representing Nonprofit Organizations
  • Update volunteer information and interaction data points timely in excel and software systems; including up-to-date background checks, contact info, and important data for future cultivation.
  • Organize and develop a rotation for Chapel teams, to allow for those on the waitlist to have opportunities to serve.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Volunteer Appreciation Program; with particular attention to assigned portfolio volunteers by assisting with volunteer appreciation events, Chapel team meetings and other volunteer appreciation milestones.
  • Exemplify Jesus Christ daily, sharing the gospel or praying with others as opportunities arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in customer service
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • A solid, visible relationship with Christ.
AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE...
  • 2+ years managing and stewarding relationships
  • 2+ years working with volunteers
  • 2+ years working in Ministry
  • Previous experience in a public-facing role
