Position Summary

The Grants Strategy & Compliance Manager (GSCM) plays a crucial role in supporting Home Woven’s mission. Working closely with the Director of Development & Communications, this position helps manage funding through grant writing, coordination, and careful compliance with reporting duties. The person in this role will collaborate to identify funding opportunities, keep transparent and accessible records, and build meaningful relationships with funders based on trust and shared goals.

This role helps identify strong funding opportunities, manage proposal workflows, and prepare compelling, data‑driven submissions. The GSCM collaborates with program, finance, and leadership staff to gather project details, budgets, timelines, and outcomes. They help maintain an organized pipeline of deadlines, requirements, and documents, ensuring applications are submitted on time, accurately, and aligned with Home Woven’s priorities.

Once a grant is awarded, the GSCM supports tracking deliverables, reporting progress, and ensuring compliance with funder expectations. They gather program data, financial information, and homeowner impact stories to create strong reports that reflect Home Woven’s accountability and the real difference funders make. The role helps monitor timelines, update internal teams, and maintain accurate documentation in our systems.

We welcome candidates who bring strong attention to detail, a commitment to equity, and a passion for working in a value‑driven organization where fairness, learning, and collective impact are central to our work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grant Writing and Management (50%)

Draft, coordinate, and submit grant proposals that support and promote Home Woven’s mission and community‑focused objectives. Assist in each phase of the grant process by monitoring deadlines, collaborating with team members, and ensuring reports and renewals are completed carefully and accurately. Keep a clear, accessible grants calendar and foster relationships with funders based on transparency, trust, and a shared commitment to sustainable housing solutions.

  • Compliance and Documentation (30%)

Support adherence to grant agreements, contracts, and regulations by helping the team understand and fulfill all requirements. Keep grant materials, communications, and reports organized and accessible for all team members. Participate in internal audits and funder reviews with transparency and care and help improve policies and practices that support shared accountability, learning, and equity.

  • Reporting and Data Coordination (15%)

Work collaboratively with the program and finance teams to gather, review, and interpret the data needed for grant reports. Support consistent and culturally responsive data collection across Home Woven to ensure that outcomes reflect the lived experiences of the communities we serve. Create clear, accessible summaries that help internal teams and external partners understand our collective impact and make informed decisions.
