Industrial Painter
The Painter will be responsible for preparing and painting steel and aluminum trailers and containers. This includes bodywork, paint mixing, application, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities- Prepare surfaces through sanding and metal preparation for optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint using spray systems and other tools.
- Repair paint flaws to maintain quality standards.
- Mix and handle paints and solvents safely.
- Maintain and clean paint booths and storage areas.
- Handle hazardous waste in compliance with regulations.
- Operate lifts, scaffolding, and reclamation systems safely.
- Collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Experience with large manufacturing painting.
- Proficiency in using metallic paints and clear coats.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets and safety documents.
- Strong math and measurement skills.
- Effective communication and multitasking abilities.
- Forklift certification is a plus (training provided if needed).
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in industrial painting and paint preparation.
- Skillful use of spray guns and handling of industrial paints.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is a first shift position, and you will be working in an industrial environment with equipment such as spray systems, lifts, and scaffolding.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
