About the Opportunity

A well established manufacturer of industrial automation and metal fabrication systems is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join its growing technical service team.

This role offers the opportunity to work hands on with advanced equipment and automation technology while supporting customers across multiple manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits on machinery and automation equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams
  • Provide clear communication and support to customers while maintaining detailed service reports
Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or equipment installation within a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC controls, robotics, and automation systems preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work independently in a customer-facing role.
