Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician IV is responsible for providing ongoing safe preventative maintenance and repairs to the production line and assembly equipment, minimizing downtime, preventing damaged products or lost products, and helping set up, change over, and troubleshoot malfunctions on the production lines.
This is what you will do- Comply with all company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Rules and attend company-scheduled training.
- Complete all preventive maintenance to assigned line or equipment, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Complete required production line setups with minimal follow-up in an expeditious manner.
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise and devise appropriate solutions.
- Determine appropriate measures for avoiding future problems.
- Make recommendations for changeover, operational, quality, and efficiency improvements.
- Comply with all Company Safety Procedures including lock-out/tag-out and any others that apply.
- Monitor all adjustments, speeds, and moving components during runs.
- Report problems, hazards, concerns operator errors, and other issues to Production Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor as needed.
- Maintain all company records and tools in good operating condition and complete all required documentation accurately.
- Maintain the Maintenance Shop in a clean and organized manner.
- Maintain line equipment cabinets in a clean and organized manner.
- Communicate effectively with others.
- Perform work onsite.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School or equivalent (Minimum All positions)
- Advanced mechanical/electrical aptitude
- 3 years of vocational training and/or 6 years of work experience on production line equipment or related machinery
- Understanding of electrical circuit design
- Ability to read electrical prints and schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits up to 460V.
- Experience with diagnostic testing equipment for electrical devices
- Working knowledge of motor controls, variable frequency drives, servo drives
- Working knowledge of automation control, PLCs, and programming
- Advanced comprehension of electrical systems, hydraulic operations, and pneumatic components
- Intermediate level computer knowledge
- Advanced level reading, writing, and math abilities
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to inspect work and make quality control decisions.
- Ability to use accurate weights and measurement equipment in metrics.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.
- Ability to maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Advanced technical training in an electrical or mechanical discipline.
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish competently is preferred.
