Hours & Schedule

Hours for the role are 6:00PM - 4:30PM, Wednesday-Saturday. May be subject to change based on operations and business necessity. Weekend and overtime work will be required based on production and operational needs. This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Supervisor.

  • Electrical, Mechanical, Programming, High Speed Packaging and Processing Equipment

Instrumentation
  • Level, Temperature, Flow, Conductivity, Calibrations
  • Allen Bradley Software - RSLogix 5000, 500, RSLinx, Factory Talk View ME, RSNetworx
  • Allen Bradley Hardware - Control Logix, Compact Logix, SLC, Micrologix, Power Flex VFD’s
  • Basic Networking - Ethernet, Controlnet, Devicenet
  • Electrical Safety - Electrical safety 480

    VAC, Arc Flash, Mechanical Safety, LOTO, Food Safety
  • Electrical Control Panels - Assist in design and building of panels ▪ Wonderware / Wonderware Historian experience a plus
  • Troubleshoots, calibrates, and tests malfunctioning (pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical) components on high speed machinery systems, and process control systems.
  • Inspect, and perform system operational checks on high speed machinery systems, industrial control systems, and instrumentation systems.
  • Analyze and provide assistance in repair of components using conventional and digital multi meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters and hand tools.
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test components and technical publications.
  • Assist in design and building industrial control panels for control upgrades, or for new equipment and processes.
  • Assist, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production lines and associated assigned systems.
  • Adhere and keep documentation, according to all established HACCP, SQF, KOSHER and internal guidelines.
  • Coordinate with supplier, Production, Quality and other Engineering personnel activities to improve procedures and resolve problems.
  • Performs all operations according to all established Safety Policies, Good Maintenance Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
Work Experience & Knowledge
  • Two years of related experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, preferred.
  • One to three years’ work experience in industrial automation and control desired.
  • Food Industry/Dairy Industry experience desired.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical diagrams, blueprints, drawings, P&’s and technical service manuals.
Skills & Other Personal Attributes
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use the equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department and/or maintenance crews.
  • Assists in keeping work area clean.
  • Must have experience with general office equipment, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Weekend work may also be required in addition to the ability to work ON CALL off hours and rotating weekends. Schedules may be subject to change, based on business need. Education
  • Minimum

    Education Required:

    Associate degree in electronics, instrumentation or a closely related field, High school Diploma or equivalent with technical or trade school automation.
