The Production Supervisor is responsible for day‑to‑day activities that achieve established metrics and standards for safety, quality, production, customer service, and people management. The role develops high‑performing teams, drives continuous improvement, and maintains a best‑in‑class working environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and maintain daily production plans.
- Monitor and evaluate productivity using team and individual metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and coach employees on such projects.
- Communicate company policies, procedures, and the unique selling proposition to the team.
- Conduct performance reviews, document performance issues, and provide coaching.
- Plan vacation schedules to match seasonal workload variations.
- Maintain production and machine maintenance records and charts.
- Troubleshoot remote machine errors with off‑site vendors.
- Coordinate with internal and external accounts on product information, Rx service, and policy decisions.
- Model motivation, teamwork, and commitment within the workplace.
- Keep work area neat, clean, and organized.
- Ensure compliance with company and manufacturer policies, plus attendance and safety regulations.
- Assist colleagues as needed to balance workload and meet deadlines.
- Provide training, direction, and technical guidance for less experienced coworkers.
- Attend supervisory training sessions when required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience.
- Problem‑solving skills across multiple departments.
- Knowledge of all aspects of lab manufacturing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and DVI software.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Leadership skills to maintain workflow and a motivating work environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience handling internal and external customer interactions.
- Prior supervisory experience.
Employee pay is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition to base pay, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered.
