** The Maintenance Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assuring the entire facility, including all building systems, grounds, and all equipment are maintained and repaired safely in order to produce food products at a high level of quality, at the lowest possible cost, in a timely and complete manner, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

** Maintenance Techs, Maintenance Coordinator, 1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Supervisors.

* Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
*** Maintaining and ensuring food safety. Report any food safety deviations to your supervisor immediately.
* Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Adheres to and enforces company policies, departmental guidelines, and employee accountability.
* Prepares work lists, prioritizes workload, ensures repairs, preventative maintenance, and projects are fully completed. Leads team and works as part of management team on special projects. Assists team in creating and implementing facility Capital Expenditure budget.
* Coordinates equipment installs and projects. Supports compliance with OSHA, SQF, USDA, EPA, and FDA regulations at all times. Knowledgeable of OSHA, SDS, EPA regulations, and fire codes.
* Ensures 5-S principles are followed, and facilitates a lean manufacturing culture. Instills and perpetuates a safe working culture, best practices, clean work environment, and procedures.
* Assists in department hiring and training. Oversees the duties of maintenance employees. Fosters safety, communication, and teamwork across department and facility.
* Oversees purchasing and tracking inventory of all maintenance parts, supplies, and tools working closely with Maintenance Coordinator. Works within monthly budgets and objectives from D&D President and Company Officers. Facilitates preventive maintenance program to keep equipment and facility in a state of safe operation with little to no downtime.
* Responsible for working with outside contractors, local, state, and federal regulators. Ensures PSM Mechanical Integrity, SOPs, and all documentation are in compliance working in collaboration with D&D Director of Safety &Training and external ammonia contractor.
* Assist in providing after hours/weekend consultation, repairs, and project coverage as needed.
* Seeks out and reviews contractor bids, oversee/tracks expenses utilizing Somax Maintenance Software System with Maintenance Coordinator. Oversees Preventive Maintenance Program.
* Attends trainings, regulatory meetings, and Company meetings.
* Must update emergency contact info to EPA within 30 days of hire date.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
** Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
*** Must have the ability to lead, motivate, and work positively as part of a maintenance team.

* Attention to detail, follow through, and team building skills.
* Proven Large Equipment Project Installation and Management Skills.
* Ability to read and interpret laws and regulatory guidelines.
* Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, and have an advanced understanding of electrical, mechanical, welding, PLC’s, building systems, and boilers.
City of Omaha 3rd Grade Stationary Engineering License Preferred or able to achieve within 1 year of hire.
* Must have a working understanding of Glycol, Ammonia Systems, and PSM.
* Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.

* Education and Experience:
*** High School Degree.
* College Degree and/or technical schooling preferred or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum of 5 years Industrial Maintenance Supervisor or Management experience.
*
* Physical Requirements:
*** This is considered a skilled position. Frequent to constant handling, grasping of paper, constant listening, talking, hearing, writing, seeing, reading, dealing with people, trouble shooting, influencing others, evaluating information and supervising.
* Ability to climb, bend, lift and work in areas of limited mobility.
*
* Working Conditions:
*** Duties split between an office, workshop, refrigerated production rooms, withsome occasional exposure to coolers and freezers.
* Frequent deadlines exist while handling multiple tasks.
** Equipment Used to Perform Job:
** Photocopier, fax machine, office telephone system, Microsoft Office. Safety Toe boots and PPE.
