AVP, General Liability Claims Manager

Zurich is currently looking for an AVP, General Liability Claims Manager. We're seeking an inspiring and dynamic leader to guide and support a high-performing team of Managers and Claims Professionals within our General Liability Specialty Team. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee claim operations across Captives, Excess & Surplus, Direct Markets, and Multinational programs.

This leader will partner with the other AVPs within the line of business to help develop, support and drive key initiatives and strategies. They will also work on National Projects on behalf of the line of business and serve as a subject matter expert to the underwriting team regarding product developments or enhancements to provide support and guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory policies.

The successful candidate will coordinate the work activities of the team and has responsibility for performance, development and coaching of staff to maximize contributions and drive employee development and operational improvements. This position has clear and distinct accountability for business results and manages internal and external customer relationships.

Omaha, NE, Overland Park, KS;
Gold River, CA or Schaumburg, IL.

Basic Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims area OR
• Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims area OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 11 or more years of experience in the Claims area AND
• 3 or more years of management experience
• Customer service experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of insurance legal statutes and procedures
• Travel 25% or more

The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $ - $, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
