Senior Director, KPMG Board Leadership Center –
KPMG US
We are seeking a Senior Director to join our Clients and Markets organization, leading board governance, education, and program development within the Board Leadership Center.
Responsibilities- Serve as a subject matter expert/thought leader representing KPMG on board governance and related issues
- Provide governance expertise and education to support KPMG clients at the board/c-suite level
- Help drive the development and execution of the BLC’s premier programs and sponsored/third‑party board‑level programs
- Develop/author articles and papers on timely governance issues and related boardroom practices including oversight of strategy and risk, tech innovation, digital disruption, and data governance
- Interact with KPMG partners and leadership across the firm (Audit, Tax, Advisory, Market Development, Events & Meetings, Independence) to develop client and target relationships and deliver timely/relevant insights to board members, membership groups, and top executives consistent with the firm’s strategic priorities
- Support the calibration of BLC’s operational effectiveness and efficiency and help define/refine BLC’s strategy as part of the BLC leadership team
- Contribute to a learning environment within BLC by sharing insights and mentoring team members
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum fifteen years of recent experience in corporate governance; knowledge of audit and financial reporting a plus
- Advanced degree (J.D., MBA, Ph.D.) preferred; bachelor’s degree required
- Knowledge of technology/digital disruption impacts on board oversight; experience in the technology sector a strong plus
- Excellent reputation and connectivity in the board ecosystem with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to present, lead, and facilitate board‑level discussions on critical topics and build relationships with board/executive level clients
- Strong collaborative mindset, delivering high‑quality work on time and on budget
- Strategic, innovative thinker with commitment to lifelong learning
- Significant domestic travel expected
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; no sponsorship available
