Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Account Managers responsible for fostering relationships and managing BBB Accredited businesses. The Account Management Team Lead will act as a bridge between management and the team of account managers to aid in meeting revenue and retention goals.
This role will report to the Director of Account Management; the Account Management team will also continue to report to the Director of Account Management. The employee must be present in-office three or more workdays per week.
Core Responsibilities:- Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of Account Managers, fostering career development and ensuring performance excellence.
- Collaborate with management to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans for the account management team.
- Monitor team metrics, analyze trends, and adapt strategies to meet retention goals.
- Step in to resolve escalated client issues and ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Coordinate with management to plan, host, and present at events and webinars for Accredited businesses.
- Assist with lead generation and retention reporting.
- Manage book of business for high-priority accounts by delivering premium, personalized service.
- Support their assigned accounts by handling both collections efforts and bill payment processes, ensuring smooth account management.
- Manage and verify the accuracy of all account records within Blue to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Provide assistance in gathering and organizing data for retention reports within Microsoft Excel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience in account management, with demonstrated leadership or mentorship capabilities.
- Strong communication skills—oral and written.
- Effective strategic thinking, performance monitoring, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and BBB database tools.
- Experience working in sales, retention, or business development.
