Nature of WorkOverall responsibility for project management: manage a staff, contract documents, subcontractor performance, vendor compliance, budgets, costs, safety, profitability, statutory and legal compliance. Maintain constructive relationships and communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, community officials and company staff.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities- Conduct pre‑construction reviews including estimate review and contract documents.
- Ensure subcontractors meet expectations of contract documents.
- Direct and supervise the purchase of major equipment.
- Establish and coordinate overall project schedule.
- Ensure labor, material, subcontractors, and equipment cost control for all projects.
- Provide any required project billings.
- Ensure accurate completion and updating of all required project reports.
- Maintain client relationships and assist in development of new business.
- Ensure projects are completed per contract documents and schedule.
- Assume responsibility for providing a safe work environment and complying with all statutory & regulatory requirements.
- Maintain continual professional development and appearance.
- Promote the company safety culture and safety awareness throughout the company, projects or office.
- Utilize relevant company technology to support all assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record, as required by the company’s vehicle policy.
- Exercise initiative or perform additional duties to meet organizational needs.
- Develop, manage, and oversee key financial components (financial plans, budgets, forecasts) for assigned scope to minimize risk and variance while maximizing company revenue and margin.
- Review and assess financial data and reports, ensuring employee compliance with related procedures.
- Create and communicate financial targets and goals to accomplish broader objectives.
- Proactively monitor and interpret ongoing financial performance, mitigating risks.
- Develop business plans and make operational decisions in light of broader goals and constraints.
- Inspire a sense of teamwork, communicate effectively, and resolve conflict to foster collaboration.
- Lead and facilitate team meetings, recognize accomplishments, and align team performance with corporate goals.
- Assess and manage the quality of work produced by the team.
- Plan schedules, set assignments, and manage resources for optimal productivity.
- Engage in talent management activities including evaluating performance, providing feedback, and recruiting as needed.
