Night Custodian; BW

Position Overview

Applications are being accepted for an 8‑hour night custodian position at Bellevue West High School.

The custodian is responsible for general care and upkeep of assigned areas of the buildings, grounds, and equipment. Duties include fundamental cleaning skills, lifting, following directions, and the ability to physically handle setup and teardown of activity events. To a lesser extent, the custodian assists with maintenance support. The custodian is also responsible for carrying out the instructions of the custodial leader and the building administrator.

Additionally, the candidate may be required to mow, trim hedges, and remove snow, which may require working flexible hours in inclement weather.

Candidates must enjoy working around children and be able to work well with others as a team.

Previous experience is preferred but not required to apply for this position.

Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned.

This position is subject to a veterans preference.

Duty hours are typically Tuesday through Saturday, from 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
